- Survives Antibiotics: Unlike standard bacterial probiotics (like Lactobacillus), Florastor is a yeast-based probiotic. It is naturally resistant to antibiotics, meaning you can take it during your antibiotic course to prevent diarrhea.
- The #1 Strain Worldwide: Formulated with Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, the most clinically studied probiotic strain for digestive recovery and resilience.
- Flushes Out Toxins: Acts like a temporary protective shield in your gut, trapping and flushing out bad bacteria (like E. coli or C. diff) while allowing your own good bacteria to thrive.
- Traveler’s Essential: The go-to defense against “Traveler’s Diarrhea” caused by contaminated food or water. Perfect for international trips or dining out.
- Daily Immune & Digestive Health: Stimulates your body’s production of IgA (an immune antibody) to protect the gut lining from infection. Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, and Non-GMO.

CT50-CAT-2044If you are taking medication or planning a trip, this Florastor Probiotic review explains why this unique yeast supplement is the superior choice for gut protection.
Why Regular Probiotics Fail on Antibiotics
Antibiotics are designed to kill bacteria—both bad and good. If you take a standard bacterial probiotic (like Yogurt or Lacto-pills) alongside an antibiotic, the medicine kills the probiotic before it can work.
The Florastor Solution: Florastor is made of Saccharomyces boulardii, a friendly yeast. Antibiotics do not kill yeast. This makes Florastor the only probiotic effective when taken simultaneously with your medication.
How It Works
- The “Flush” Effect: Florastor cells act like a magnet, binding to harmful pathogens (like Salmonella or E. coli) and flushing them out of your system.
- Enzyme Boost: It increases the production of digestive enzymes, helping you break down dietary sugars and absorb nutrients better.
- Gut Barrier Defense: It strengthens the intestinal wall, preventing “Leaky Gut” and boosting local immunity (IgA).
How to Take
Daily Maintenance: Take 2 capsules daily.
During Antibiotics: Take 2 capsules twice daily (4 total) for the duration of the prescription, and continue for 1 week after.
Since Florastor is a yeast, do not take it if you are taking anti-fungal medication (like fluconazole/Diflucan), as this will kill the probiotic.
