High-Potency L-Methylfolate 15mg (Active 5-MTHF)

A professional-grade, maximum potency supplement designed for individuals requiring targeted nutritional support for methylation, as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. This formula provides 15mg of L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), the most biologically active form of folate, ensuring optimal bioavailability.

The Active Folate Advantage: 5-MTHF

Folic acid, the synthetic form found in many supplements, must be converted by the body into its active form, 5-MTHF. However, many individuals have a common genetic variation (MTHFR) that impairs this conversion. Our formula provides 5-MTHF directly, bypassing this enzymatic step to deliver a body-ready form of folate that everyone can use effectively.*

• Supports Healthy Homocysteine Levels: Folate is crucial for the methylation cycle, which helps maintain homocysteine levels already within a normal range—a key indicator of cardiovascular health.*
• Aids Neurotransmitter Production: 5-MTHF is essential for the synthesis of key neurotransmitters, including serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which play vital roles in mood and cognitive function.*
• Supports Neurological & Cellular Health: Folate is fundamental for healthy red blood cell formation and DNA synthesis.*

Suggested Use

For adults, ONLY as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner, take two (2) capsules daily. Follow your practitioner’s dosage instructions precisely.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is this dose so high and for professional use only?

A 15mg (25,000 mcg DFE) dose is a clinical, therapeutic amount far exceeding the normal dietary requirement. It is intended for individuals with specific, medically identified needs for high-dose methylation support, such as a diagnosed MTHFR polymorphism or elevated homocysteine levels.

What is the MTHFR gene variation?

MTHFR is an enzyme that helps convert folic acid into the active folate (5-MTHF) your body can use. A common genetic variation can reduce the efficiency of this enzyme. Providing 5-MTHF directly bypasses this issue.

What is the risk of masking a B12 deficiency?

A B12 deficiency can cause a specific type of anemia. High-dose folate can “correct” the appearance of this anemia in blood tests, making it seem like there’s no problem. However, the B12 deficiency would continue to cause irreversible neurological damage. This is why a doctor must check B12 levels before prescribing high-dose folate.
